Noelle Shirey
Noelle Shirey joined Newark Academy in 2018 as the Assistant Director for Annual Giving and the JV field hockey coach. In 2019, she was named the head coach of the field hockey program and in 2020, she was named head coach of the girls' lacrosse program. Before NA, "Coach Shi" graduated with her Master's degree in Communication and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Fairleigh Dickinson University. While in school she served as the Assistant Coach of Field Hockey and Lacrosse at the Academy of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ (2017). As a player, Coach Shi played Field Hockey and Lacrosse at FDU where she was an all-conference player, winning conference titles and making it to the National Tournament with both teams. Coach Shi enjoys going to the beach (she grew up at the shore in Pine Beach, NJ), bike riding and spending time with friends and family. She has a passion for coaching and mentoring young women and showing them all the things that sports can be for student-athletes.
