Scott Rowling

Scott Rowling joined Newark Academy in 2019, where he teaches math and is the girls' varsity soccer head coach. During his three seasons leading the soccer program, he led the team to two division titles, while also being recognized as SEC Coach of the Year in 2019. Prior to NA, Coach Rowling spent time teaching and coaching at two different private schools in NYC, as well as a boarding school in New Hampshire. He earned a Division I soccer scholarship to play at the University of New Hampshire, where he was a four-year starter at center-mid and a two-year captain. Coach Rowling has also represented Team USA for the Maccabiah Games in Israel, where he captained the team to its first-ever gold medal. Outside of school, Coach Rowling enjoys spending time with his wife, Lauren, and their dog, Ivy. He also loves playing and watching all sports and is a competitive pickleball player/coach.
