The Newark Academy girls' basketball team leaned on a strong third quarter performance to push them past the Millers of Millburn on Tuesday evening. Sophomore Dagny Slomack led the offensive charge with a whopping 22 points. Junior Zoe Hermans pulled in 10 rebounds and added 5 points and 6 assists for the Minutemen. Sophomore Kat Dakos added 11 points while Senior Sophia Miller was a force inside with 12 rebounds. On the defensive end, Dakos and Slomack had four steals a piece while Hermans added 3 blocks. The Minutemen will host Cedar Grove on Saturday, 1/15 at 11 a.m.
