The Newark Academy boys' tennis team won the Non-Public B title on Friday afternoon in straight sets to head to the Tournament of Champions next week. The win came over a 19-4 Ranney team. With this win, the Minutemen improved to 22-0 on the season and earned them the first place spot in the T of C. With the number one seed comes a bye in the first round taking place on Tuesday, and sets Newark Academy up to face the winner of Millburn vs Demarest. This will be the semifinal round which will take place on Wednesday, June 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Mercer County Park. A win will advance the Minutemen to the final round of the last ever T of C on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
