Jared Levine has been ranked 16th out of all pitchers in the conference with an impressive 20 strikeouts to start the season. Silas Epstein, ranked 36th, has notched 14 of his own. On the offensive side, Newark Academy has a few players showing off their power with the bat. Benjamin Schwartz is currently tied for 6th in the doubles column with 2, and 8th in the RBI column with 6. In the triples column, Jack DeVirgilio and Kyle Fink are tied for 4th with a triple each. Rounding out the stat leaders, Levine ranked 5th in runs scored with 10 and Alejandro Lorenzo came in right behind him at 8 runs.
The Minutemen will continue their season on April 27th with a home game versus Montclair Kimberley Academy (5-2). They are hoping for a win and some good momentum to help carry them to the prelims of the Essex County Tournament this coming weekend.
