The Newark Academy boys’ golf team brought home their fourth-consecutive Essex County Championship title on Monday. This was the Minutemen’s 12th win in program history.

The Minutemen finished with a score of 295 to take the first-place slot, followed by Millburn at second (302) and Livingston at third (308). Junior Arjun Caprihan finished first overall with an impressive 3 under par (67). Sophomore Nathan Scheck was not far behind shooting a 75, followed by junior Benedikt Guth with a 76, junior Aryik Yadav with a 77 and senior TJ Betlow with a 79.

Newark Academy hopes to keep the wins coming, as they return to regular season play this week. They head to West Orange on Tuesday, April 30th at 3:30 pm. As the post-season approaches, the Minutemen are eager to defend their state title which they have won for the last four years.
