Marissa Marino-Stephenson
Marissa Marino joined Newark Academy in July 2008 after completing her first season as the Newark Academy varsity softball assistant coach. Marissa was a recent college graduate and served as the Head Softball Instructor at Frozen Ropes in Pine Brook, NJ before accepting her position in the Newark Academy Athletic Department. In college, she worked for the Ramapo College Athletic Department's Sports Information Office and was a 4-year member of the nationally ranked softball team, making appearances in the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2004, 2006 and 2007 with an appearance in the Division III World Series in 2006 finishing #7 in the country ranked by the NCAA and NFCA. Marissa holds a B.A. in Communications, Media and Cinema Studies from Ramapo College and a M.A. in Athletic and Coaching Administration from Concordia University Irvine. Outside of work, Marissa enjoys spending time at her beach house with her family, traveling, watching sports and spending time with her husband Brian, her sons Angelo and Marciano, and two step-sons Gael and Mateo.
