Nick Veneroso
Coach Nick Veneroso joined Newark Academy in 2022, after spending the previous 11 years as the Assistant Cross Country and Track Coach at the Academy of the Holy Angels. During his tenure, the cross country team won the county championships for three consecutive years. Coach Nick coached throwers to numerous league, county, and state titles, was part of the Bergen County Coaching Staff of the Year in 2017 and had multiple athletes compete at the Penn Relays and National Championships.
A New Jersey native, Coach Nick grew up in Bloomfield, where he was a multiple sport athlete in high school, playing soccer and running indoor and outdoor track as a sprinter. Coach Nick was a member of the track team at Bergen Community College. Coach Nick received his B.S. from Southern Connecticut State University in Liberal Studies with minors in Exercise Science, Public Health, and Psychology. Coach Nick has received certifications from USATF as a Level 1 and Level 2 coach. Coach Nick resides in Parsippany with his wife Amanda and their dog Luke. When not coaching, Coach Nick enjoys watching college football (especially Ohio State), going to the gym and spending time with his friends and family.
