NA hosted MSD in the county tourney on Wednesday afternoon. The game started out pretty even, with both teams trying to adjust to new styles, having already played once earlier in the season. NA took advantage of a MSD mistake midway through the half. Mia Heinold played a long ball to Ava Cole who ended up blocking the goalie's clearance and slotted one into an empty net to make it 1-0. While MSD had a few quality scoring chances, it remained 1-0 going into halftime. MSD came out flying in the second half and took advantage of a series of miscues and ended up burying a loose ball in the box to tie it 1-1. A few minutes later, MSD was able to find some open space behind the defense and capitalize on a breakaway to make it 2-1. While NA generated some late opportunities, MSD was able to hold on for the 2-1 win. Zoe Hermans recorded 5 saves in goal.


NA improves to 6-1-0 and will play at Kushner on Thursday, October 14. Kickoff is scheduled for 4pm.
