Newark Academy came out hot on an 8 to 1 run in the first set and never looked back. The second set however, did not go as smoothly. The Minutemen found themselves trailing 18 to 10. They kept their heads down and remained composed as they won eight consecutive points to close the gap and eventually come out on top.
With this win, the Minutemen earned the Non-Public B state champion title, and advance to the tournament of champions where they will face Paul VI High School.
