The Minutemen boys' swimming team took home the Prep B Championship hardware on Tuesday, February 1. A number of individuals were able to come out on top in their events to help propel the team to the first place finish. Sophomore Owen Markowitz placed first in the 200 and 500 free, and was also named Swimmer of the Meet on the B side. Senior Ali Elmasry earned first place in the 200 IM. In the 100 breast, Elmasry finished first with Brandon Cortez coming in right behind him for second. The 200 medley relay team of Ali Elmasry, Ryan Kim, Owen Markowitz and Brandon Cortez finished in second just behind Pingry. One school record was also broken at this meet. The 400 Free Relay consisting of Will Crall, Jasper Schnieder-Smith, Owen Markowitz and Ian Bell broke the school record with a time of 3:15.64.
