Dean Butler, Newark Academy’s stellar rising eight grade ice hockey player, recently wrapped up his spring in Canada competing in the 2022 Quebec International Peewee Hockey Tournament. Dean was a member of Team Gatorade and has therefore been added to the Elite Hockey Prospects database to be followed by coaches and recruiters alike.

After an exceptional performance in Canada, Butler has been invited to the Crimson Combine. This annual ice hockey combine is hosted by Harvard Ice Hockey every August. Attendees of this year’s combine will include roughly 60 of the top ranked rising eight graders. These athletes will have the opportunity to be coached, trained, and tested in front of the Harvard Ice Hockey coaching staff, as well as coaches from the USA National Training Development Program.
