The boys’ and girls’ varsity cross country teams competed in the Prep B Championship at Blair Academy yesterday afternoon. On the boys’ side, eight schools competed against our Minutemen including Montclair Kimberley Academy, Princeton Day, Rutgers Prep, Morristown-Beard, Pennington School, Golda Och Academy, Gill St. Bernard’s, and Wardlaw-Hartridge. The boys took first place with a score of 38. They were followed by MKA (44) and Princeton Day (69). Senior Pierce Malloy finished in first place overall and also broke the standing school record for this course with a time of 16:45.
On the girls’ side, six other schools competed against Newark Academy including Princeton Day, Rutgers Prep, Pennington, Gill St. Bernard’s, Villa Walsh and Stuart Country Day. The Minutemen finished with a score of 151.
