Newark Academy girls' basketball junior Dagny Slomack was named a top five player of the week for the Super Essex Conference for December 15-January 5. With an average of 18.1 points a game, Slomack is a leading scorer for the Minutemen. She scored a season-high 29 points against Central High School on January 3.
