The Newark Academy boys' winter track team won their second consecutive Prep B Championship title on Tuesday, February 22. The team had numerous top finishes on both the individual and relay levels to help earn them the title.

First-place finishes include Luka Opacic Rodrigues '24 in the 1600 meter (4:35.31), Pierce Malloy '23 in the 3200 meter (10:10.48), Bryce Rhodeman '23 in high jump (5-10), Matthew Herbert '25 in pole vault (13-7) and Kayin Davis '23, Jaeden Henry '25, Ethan Garcia '23 and Luka in the 4x400 meter relay (3:45.24).

Second-place finishes include Jaeden in the 200 meter (24.24) and 400 meter (54.81), Luka in the 800 meter (2:05.20), Pierce in the 1600 meter (4:37.27), Tomas Pesquin '24 in the 55 meter hurdles (8.50) and Ishaan Solanki '24 in shot put (35-10.25).

Finally, third-place finishes include LJ Hines '24 in the 55 meter hurdles (8.54) and high jump (5-3), Bryce in the 55 meter (6.91), Kayin in the 200 meter (24.81) and Ethan in the 1600 meter (4:41.31).
