Minutemen Athletics hosted a signing day ceremony for 11 members of the Class of 2024 who have committed to playing their respective sports at the collegiate level, on February 7, 2024.

The ceremony celebrated seven student-athletes who signed on to play NCAA Division I sports and four who have committed to play at the Division III level. Family, friends, teachers and coaches were in attendance to cheer them on.

The Division I signings are TJ Betlow to Cornell University for golf, Andrew Kotzen to Columbia University for tennis, Joshua Mandelbaum to Rice University for tennis, Owen Markowitz to Duke University for swimming, Victoria Pevzner to University of Notre Dame for fencing, Jenna Shoman to Harvard University for fencing and Dagny Slomack to Central Connecticut State University for basketball.

The Division III commitments are Shayne Cleeve to Skidmore College for softball, Katerina Dakos to Christopher Newport University for basketball, Luka Opacic Rodrigues to Swarthmore College for Cross Country and Track & Field and Jasper Schnieders-Smith to Connecticut College for swimming.

“I am thrilled that we have so many student-athletes committing to participate in collegiate athletics,” says NA Director of Athletics Seth Lieberman. “It is a testament to the hard work that the student-athletes, their coaches and families have put in to get to this day. We’re proud to be a school where you can achieve both academic and athletic excellence.”
