The Minutemen of Newark Academy had ten top-three finishes to propel them to the win. First-place finishes included Tom Pesquin in the 55-meter hurdles (8.02), Jaeden Henry in the 200-meter dash (23.67), the 4x400 meter relay of Jordan Hall, Jaeden, Tom and LJ Hines (3:45.50), Ishaan Solanki in shot put (41-4.5) and LJ in high jump (5-10). Second-place finishes for the Minutemen included LJ in the 55-meter hurdles (8.35), Jaeden in the 400-meter dash (53.04) and Tom in the 200-meter dash (23.76). Third-place finishes included Jaeden in the 55-meter dash (6.89) and Kabir Srivastav in shot put (34-7).
The team has six individuals heading to compete at the Meet of Champions on Sunday, March 3. They include LJ Hines, Jaeden Henry, Luka Opacic Rodrigues, Tom Pesquin, Jake During and Jordan Hall.
